What: Yuya goes on a birthday excursion for with everyone he invited and who also talked their way into an invitation

Yuya spends the few days leading up to the first of March in a barely contained excitement as he plots out how to best use the school's helicopter transport, deliver word of mouth invites, and set a time to celebrate his 15th. Ultimately it's decided that because the trip is a few hours to make it a day event, with the helicopters taking off early and returning late into the night. Sticking with the group is probably advisable, although with so much time it's expected some people will wander. Yuya just wants a day to spend with his friends, instead of doing anything intricate.

The early hours are largely spent touring and window shopping, taking long walks through the markets, sampling food, or appreciating the rich art history on display. There's a lot of museums, parks, and it's the bright clear day. Chilly, though, so hopefully everyone brought jackets.

In the afternoon, they can hitch a ride on one of the paddle streamers along the river Elbe. It's a few hours of tour that takes them by the castles. The tickets aren't too expensive, but if someone can't afford it Yuya will spend some of his own money to spot them the ticket.

After the sun starts to wane and the temperature drop, it's off to warmer places. For those with the cash to spend, there's an opera house they might be able to catch a show at. Otherwise, the plan is to crowd up in some bakery-style restaurant for dinner and cake.

[ Kano is, of course and unfortunately, not hurtling through the air in free fall about to splatter all over the ground, but sitting in his seat with his legs drawn up to his chest so he can smother his laughter into his knees, letting the illusion drop as soon as Nana gets her seatbelt unfastened.

The door immediately appears shut, the drone of helicopter blades outside fainter. ]

Haha... It really worked... How great~

[ He can't be mean to Yuya on his birthday, so instead it's Nana, sorry;;; ]

[Nana hears the laughter next to her, and the panic that was welling up in her... doesn't actually abate but it stops increasing. She stares at him, incredulous for a second, and relieved despite everything.

She sputters once, incomprehensibly. Then she turns away from him and folds her arms.]

J-Jerk! I'm glad you're alive because I can tell you what a jerk you are! Playing a trick on me like that!

Hmph!

[suddenlybees]

[ The worst part about being stuck in a helicopter isn't the terrifying heights or the motion sickness, it's the fact that he's trapped and cannot escape. ]

Hahaha... Sorry, sorry~ Are you angry? That's good, isn't it? I don't think I've seen you angry before~

Of course I'm angry! Y--You made me think you FELL OUT OF A HELICOPTER!!

[Her... her lips quirk up because it's maybe a little funny.

So then she makes her face look even angrier.]

H-hmph. You scared me! That... that wasn't funny at all!

[suddenlybees]

[ He caught that smile because she's ridiculous and it only makes it laugh harder, clinging to the seat belt across his chest like it's a literal lifeline somebody would have to rip out of his hands if they want to toss him out the door. ]

You're right! It's not funny at all! I'm sorry!!

[ AND YET. HE'S STILL LAUGHING. ]

Let me make it up to you?!

[Who's literally nibbling on her lower lip to try to keep from starting to giggle?

THIS GIRL.

She thinks it makes her look scary.]

I'm all ears as to how you'll do that!

Hahaha~ Your acting, Nana-chan, you acting! It's slipping~ You gotta frown harder to be convincing!

[ She's not fooling him!! He is also attempting to get out of owing her an IOU by teaching her how to look angry, when he's also never made a properly angry face in his life. ]

[Nana starts to get madder when he says her acting is slipping because HOW DARE HE except also that's a perfect idea.

She lifts her chin, eyes narrowing, and she... channels the time she played Dracula. So she fixes him with a smile.

Except it's an angry sort of smile.]

But I don't need to frown to be angry with you, Kano-kun.

It would complete the effect if she summoned a sword lmao

Ouch, that's it!

[ It's the kind of anger that you channel through your voice instead of your face, and it's a very very familiar tone that Nana takes with him.

This is exactly the face his sisters would make, just before they beat the hell out of him... how reminiscent. ]

I feel like she has to keep some things in her wheelhouse for future incidents?

[playitagain]

[She smiles in that falsely sweet sort of way, now, and cuts him a look. The anger's there.

Just, you know, with that sweetness painted over it.]

So.

Making it up to me~

I can't just bribe you with an all-you-can eat dinner, right...?

[ It would have worked on Minako, maybe, but probably not with Nana. Ellie would have been even easier to make up with, all he has to do is let her scream at him for a while and knock out a tooth or two and they'd be golden again. ]

Is there anything that you want??

[playitagain]

[She opens her mouth, about to say he owes her a nice dinner. But... then she remembers that he doesn't have money the way her family does.

That's not fair to him.

Her nose wrinkles, then:]

...You pick the best, most scenic place around campus or town and help me make dinner and we'll call it square.

[Then, she adds:]

Also you have to wear a polka dot bow tie and pretend that it's cool.

[ Oh. Ugh... ]

How cruel, making me wear a bow tie! What about my image, Nana-chan?? I'm not a good enough cook, I'd only ruin your dinner too!!

[ But, really. It's the first part that gets him. The most scenic place around campus or town? He has places which he likes, and he knows places with nice scenery, and the two don't coincide; he doesn't go around finding pretty places to hang out, just safe ones. ]

Your image can be a polka dot bowtie for a day.

[She smiles a little less menacingly. Then, she glances to the side... and thinks about it for a second. Guilting him into hanging out with her isn't really what she wants, even if she was pretty mad.]

...We could do something else, if you want to. I'll settle for the polka dot bowtie for a day, either way.

[suddenlybees]

[ ...You know what? Yeah. He can cheat his way around a polka dot bowtie, he has no qualms about that. ]

You're backing off? That's no good, Nana-chan! If you've got the upper hand, you've got to push it! Milk it for all it's worth!!

[ After frowning, this is lesson number two of how to become a villain, ig ]

[She hesitates. Is this fun, like, "We both want to go out but this is a convenient narrative to do something silly?" Nana isn't sure. She looks at him, lips pursed, and then...

Well, she can try something. (Something not food related. She threw up just a second ago and trying to imagine food's specifics is begging for a problem.)]

...We could go to one of the cities and see a zoo, with your polka dot bowtie?

[...is he training her to be devious??]

[ If that's what he's training her to do, he's doing a poor job of it, because the question only has Kano's lips twisting into a smirk. ]

I'm not opposed~ But don't phrase it as a question!! That's what I'm talking about.

Kano-kun. [That's... bordering on a whine, there, but she gets the point. Okay. She's got this. She can do it. Sound demanding, go!]

...Take me to a zoo! [She laughs a little when she says it, though.]

[suddenlybees]

...Haha, is that how you ask for things? Can I get a "Kano-kun, take me to a zoo, please!!"?

[ Manners, Nana!!!

Manners aren't important to devious villains, don't listen to him, he's just teasing. ]

[playitagain]

[Nana starts laughing more at that.] You just said--fine! Okay, okay, I'll do it that way too.

Kano-kun, take me to a zoo, please.

[suddenlybees]

Good girl~

[ She gets a head pat for her troubles and for indulging him, and then he sits back in his seat again. ]

Let's go tomorrow! It's the weekend, so~! Tomorrow!!!

[ Thanks Yuya for having a Friday birthday and granting them a three day weekend, you're the best ]

Tomorrow it is.

[She laughs, looking... over all happy, and then she moves her foot.

Squelch. Right, she threw up on the floor.

She sinks down in her chair.]

...I hope we get there soon.

[ Kano ducks his head because that just makes him laugh, it's gross and unfortunate and since he doesn't trust himself to talk, he just waves his hand over the vomit, whereupon it disappears into the floor. It doesn't really disappear, of course, but he masks it to everybody except himself and now when people people exit the helicopter there's a 65.8% chance they'll step right into it and that, to him, is hilarious. ]

[She looks down... and blinks...

And naturally, doesn't quite realize what he thought of:] Thanks.
