When You Made Wishes: start! (player plot)

Imagine Wist's surprise when April rolled around and their plan for a great prank was foiled on account of all those students just...leaving??? Truly, they have become the April fool... It's what they wanted, of course -- for the pitiful humans to find freedom -- and sure there are some stragglers around, but...in the end, they decide to take the win and enjoy a short break of their own. Good thing, too, or they might have pulled out all their hair in frustration when Spring Break comes to an end and the swarm of students and faculty willingly return to their prison.

While settling back into the academy and resigning themselves to a routine, the people of Daybreak will be soothed by a gentle tune rising up from the forest. It isn't a song they've heard before, and yet, somehow...it's nostalgic, isn't it? The soft notes of the pan flute stir up something in their hearts, tugging at old memories and drawing forth a feeling of dissatisfaction and longing out from under them. Let the song lull them into taking a moment to withdraw from the hustle and bustle -- hey, turns out they sort of need it. Maybe they're coming down with a cold, or just some quick little bug...

The odd message from an iris account that doesn't exist isn't up for long before the spell kicks into the next phase. However they manifest and from when differs from person to person, but those affected will all have the bizarre experience of watching some ghost of themselves from their past be born from their soul's memory. Don't think there are those that can escape this fate just by returning at a later time, either -- Wist can keep up this panpipe nonsense all day, every day if they have to. If that what it takes to get their point across...

Good luck trying to comprehend whatever point that may be, because now Daybreak is the new home to a bunch of familiar-looking rugrats and has to contend with whatever complications they may bring along with them.

[The child version of Akechi has already been through things no child should have to endure, but this level of blood is new to him. Still, even though the injuries are completely different, the sight of someone curled up and possibly dying brings to mind memories of his mother, face purple from asphyxiation, and himself helpless to do anything.]

Dammit...

[Not again. He rushes over to kneel next to Shuuya, rusty red eyes wide in alarm.]

H-hey! Can't you get up?

[ In all his internal panicking, it doesn't even register to Shuuya that somebody is shouting at him until the person drops down right in front of him- whereupon he startles with a small cry of alarm and tries to jump up to his feet so he can run away. He barely straightens halfway up when the weight on his twisted left ankle is too much and he falls again, instinctively reaching out to grab hold of Akechi to steady himself. He can get up, through sheer willpower it seems, from the way he grits his teeth and tries to balance on just one foot. But he seems to be bleeding from a wound on his side; maybe he shouldn't be getting up, not until he gets some pressure on it and have it bandaged up so he doesn't bleed out. ]

[He goes rigid at being grabbed, before forcibly reminding himself that it's just because the other kid needs support. The smell of blood has him sick to his stomach, but...he has to be strong. He has to.]

You should...I think you're supposed to put pressure on injuries like that. I'm going to g-go find someone to help, okay?

[ He doesn't hang on for long, at least, stepping back and sinking to his knees so he can curl in on himself and put pressure on the wound in that way. His face crumbles in the way that looks like he wants to cry, but he bites at his bottom lip and nods quickly in agreement to Akechi's plan before he ducks his head and hides it in his chest so nobody can see. It's not like he's going anywhere anytime soon... Please get what help you can find. ]

[He runs off, shouting at the top of his lungs that he needs a doctor, fast. Hopefully someone will at least have a phone to call an ambulance...and hopefully it'll be in time.]
