When You Made Wishes: start! (player plot)
Imagine Wist's surprise when April rolled around and their plan for a great prank was foiled on account of all those students just...leaving??? Truly, they have become the April fool... It's what they wanted, of course -- for the pitiful humans to find freedom -- and sure there are some stragglers around, but...in the end, they decide to take the win and enjoy a short break of their own. Good thing, too, or they might have pulled out all their hair in frustration when Spring Break comes to an end and the swarm of students and faculty willingly return to their prison.
While settling back into the academy and resigning themselves to a routine, the people of Daybreak will be soothed by a gentle tune rising up from the forest. It isn't a song they've heard before, and yet, somehow...it's nostalgic, isn't it? The soft notes of the pan flute stir up something in their hearts, tugging at old memories and drawing forth a feeling of dissatisfaction and longing out from under them. Let the song lull them into taking a moment to withdraw from the hustle and bustle -- hey, turns out they sort of need it. Maybe they're coming down with a cold, or just some quick little bug...

Why did you come back? You don't have to live like this.
Weren't things better back then? Try to remember what it used to be like.

The odd message from an iris account that doesn't exist isn't up for long before the spell kicks into the next phase. However they manifest and from when differs from person to person, but those affected will all have the bizarre experience of watching some ghost of themselves from their past be born from their soul's memory. Don't think there are those that can escape this fate just by returning at a later time, either -- Wist can keep up this panpipe nonsense all day, every day if they have to. If that what it takes to get their point across...
Good luck trying to comprehend whatever point that may be, because now Daybreak is the new home to a bunch of familiar-looking rugrats and has to contend with whatever complications they may bring along with them.

[Like, he's here, and Ricky is here, and he wasn't exactly sure how many people could stay in a car, but Ricky was small, but!!!]
Cricket! Get back here!
[The younger boy's just staring, eyes wide and uncomprehending. He's not coming with...?]
no subject
I'll be taking pictures from down here, so remember to raise your arms up in the air at the very very top!! Bye-bye~~
no subject
The reality is that Ricky holds Maverick's hand so tight, his fingers feel funny, but even if he's anxious, he's also whipping his head around to take in as many sights as he can on their crawl up the rail in their little car. It's exciting to be able to see so many things and feel the anticipation in the air rising along with them, even if he doesn't really know what's going on and that he wishes it were Ramona next to him instead. He'll be able to show her the pictures, anyway, because somewhere down there was her other friend and he said he was going to take them, and so he needs to hold his arms up high when they're at the tooOOOH GOSH THE WORLD IS ROARING TO LIFE AND COLOR AROUND HIM AND HIS BREATH HAS LEFT HIS BODY BUT HE CAN FEEL THE WIND IN EVERY VEIN, IN EVERY STRAND OF HAIR, IN EVERY INCH OF HIS SKIN WOW okay...okay. Whew.
Maverick also enjoys being up so high and feeling the wind whip around him, but his experience is somewhat soured, not only by the knots in his stomach and the way his hand is in a tiny vice with bitten up claws at the ends, but by the way the wind decides to be a dirty thief on top of a reeling experience. Good thing noises all run together up here, because more than a few parents are already furious with the exclaimed FUCK! torn from Mav's lips as his hat is torn from his head. Well, at least Ricky's having a good time, but...
No... Hat, come back...]
no subject
It's really too bad about Maverick's hat, though. Kano abandons his post to hunt it down, finds it and jams it on his head and hides it under an illusion so he can pretend it's been lost in the wind forever. ]

Ricky is puffing with excitement when the rollercoaster comes to a halt again, pulling a mourning Mav along with him in his search for their third. While he doesn't have a smile that cures dying stars just yet, he's breathless and alert, ready for what's next.]
Fucking damn it to hell...
[hat?? hat...... where hat]
no subject
Hehe~ Looks like you had fun! You guys were up sooooooo high, I wondered if you could see me waving from all the way down here? Ah... [ Hat, huh? The distraction on Maverick's face is so obvious, Kano bites down a laugh and points at his own head. ]
We could get you a new one? With your choice of animal ears~
no subject
Mav sighs and runs his free hand through the mussed, brushed out curls. He hates this.]
So fucking stupid... [But at least it wasn't his favorite, and Kano's right -- there might be a substitute around, and hopefully not one with stupid ears on it, that would be humiliating.] Fine.
no subject
Alright, Boss~ [ "Boss" is Ricky, naturally. Kano unfolds a park map he'd kept on him and turns it around so Ricky can see it right side up. ]
Where to?
no subject
Ricky inspects the map seriously, as if he knows what most of this stuff means, and...well...he really, really doesn't, so even a keen investigation doesn't do much for him. The little drawings are enough to help him pick the next unproblematic ride. A hesitant finger rests on the swinging pirate ship, which looks nice and open, and Mav's made some comment before about pirates being neat, or something. This one?]
no subject
The pirate ship is nice and open but there are also no seat belts and there is no doubt in Kano's mind that they will fall off and splatter fifty feet to the ground. Maybe he will take his previous decision back and sit this one out too--
But alright!! The boss has made his decision!!!! ]
A good choice~!! It's over this way, follow me, follow me~ I bet we can get Mav a captain's hat at one of the gift shops nearby too!
no subject
I know I'm the bitch that has to buy the fucking thing, I ain't gonna let you two pick something stupid.
no subject
Eh~ Does it matter if it looks stupid if we're the only ones who'll see it? That aside, you trust Ricky to pick out something cool, don'tcha?
[ He doesn't even have to trust Kano-- and shouldn't- but he can at least trust himself to have good taste. Maybe. ]
no subject
[Even if it's him and he's the best always and forever...no, he's not going to take all his fashion advice from a six-year-old.]
And it matters because I don't wanna fucking waste more damn money than I have to, and I doubt they fucking take credit here.
[He honestly has no idea, but it sounds like a weird thing???]
no subject
[ Kano can make the argument that his fashion advice is barely comparable to that of a six-year-old, but that'd just be putting himself down. ]
If it's something Ricky chooses, just let him have it afterwards. That way, it'll be something he likes and it wouldn't be a waste at all, right?
no subject
Mav looks at Ricky.
Ricky is looking back up at him.
His eyes are so fucking huge.]
Fuck's sake.
[UGHHHHH.]
Whatever, fine.
no subject
Alright!! If Ricky can't make a choice, I'll help out too, so just leave it to us~
[ They should line up in the upside down deathtrap ride first so Maverick can't use it as an excuse to """accidentally""" lose the hat they painstakingly picked out for him, but he can't be a captain without a hat. Giftshop it is... lots of black hats with skulls and crossbones and some of them with feathers and others trimmed gold and a mix and match of everything to appeal to the masses. There's pink, there's glitter, and there's even one with round mouse ears, if somebody's feeling particularly thematic. ]
no subject
One is very typical, exactly the sort you'd expect to find in this place, and Mav will hate it. The other...might be more his style. But not quite as fun. Is it best to show a little mercy, since he's so bummed out already, or do they go for broke?]
no subject
¿Por qué no los dos?
Kano turns the typical pirate hat around and presents it to Maverick— except now, it sports the kitty skull and crossbones, the best of both worlds.
Awaiting your judgement, Mav!! ]
no subject
...Guess it could fucking be worse.
[He shoves the hat on his head and presents himself for judgment. He looks dead inside, but Ricky takes hold of Kano's hand and nods. All set.]
Whatever. Fine, give me a second. [to buy it...]
no subject
He doesn't hate it!! We did good, Ricky~
[ It'll look cute on the kid too, if Maverick doesn't manage to endear himself to it enough to keep it at the end of the day, and Kano almost wants one too if the hat doesn't make wearing his hood impossible. Maverick's hat alone is making his head feel a bit stuffy, and he can't imagine wearing this day in and day out. ]
no subject
Arrrright, me mateys, let's fucking go. Cricket, you're coming with us, this time.
no subject
[ Ughhhhhhh, alright, he'll come with, but he'll also making them sit one end of the ship instead of the middle, because sure there's a 50% chance they're going to die, but the other 50% puts them closest to the ground half the time, whereas the middle of the ship is a bad idea either way. He's also going to take one of the side seats, so he has something to death grip that isn't poor Ricky's hand. ]
no subject
no subject
No way he's going to let Ricky be aware of any of that, though, so while one hand continues to deathgrip the side of the ship hard enough he can feel his hand go numb, the other digs around his pocket for his phone. ]
We're almost at the peak, Ricky! Hands up in the air-- I'll take a picture of the three of us!!
