[Nana's running for student council president, and Yuya takes his job as he best friend and biggest supporter very seriously. So at various times in May, he's standing out in common areas and outside the grand hall with stickers. There's a frog in a banana peel, with Nana Daiba's full name and the slogan her voice is your voice.

He's handing them out pretty liberally. Vote for Nana!]

[Yuya's day starts as any other, unaware that he's become the next victim of Akechi's manipulations. He doesn't think he feels any different (well, except brighter and more rested), except that he's decided classes are unimportant today, and with nothing stopping him from taking the day off he does. Just that. He's dressed casually as he roams the campus, oddly free-spirited as he makes a beeline to anyone he knows in an attempt to rope them into his fun.]

Hey, want to go to Soleil?

[It doesn't wear off until night, although Yuya insists the entire time that he's fine. Once he's back to his senses, though, he's conspicuously absent the next day. There were probably some embarrassments he's not ready to face.]

[Sleepless Nights]

[Ever since the back to back missions earlier in the month, Yuya's had a hard time with sleep. At first, it was easy to blame it on the back to back travel and exertion, but that excuse doesn't last forever and he finds himself waking up from his nightmares more than he normally did. Sometimes, the end of it is clearer than it used to be.

He sits to the back of his classes, now, propping up his textbook to hide his dozing. His shoulders hang a little heavier, but he's always quick to offer a smile and wave it off. He's just sleepy, but it's fine!

Outside of classes, during meals and in the second floor common room, he's started reading a big, archaic tome. Which is pretty abnormal for him to be studying so openly and so intently. His brow is furrowed as he pours through pages of--daemons? It seems to be about daemons.

And his face looks increasingly frustrated.]

Sleepless Nights

[Having been dealing with a lot of his own issues lately, Toki hasn't been focused on Yuya's nightmares as much as he used to be. When they started getting progressively more frequent, he turned his attention back on them. Somehow, he misplaced his original notebook on Yuya's dreams and that may potentially be a problem, but telling Yuya about it can wait. Toki has since began a second cataloguing of the nightmares, pages filling up fast with more coherent mumbling about pain and death. He thought he heard something about daemons once, and marked it with an asterisk in case he heard it wrong. He's trying not to jump to conclusions so much, as Yuya himself suggested.

In the second floor common room, it's an odd sight. Yuya with a huge book; the pages old and yellowed. He looks to be intensely concentrating. Toki hesitates on interrupting, but can only hold back for about a minute.]

Yuya~! What are you reading~!?

[Yuya looks up from where he's scrunched in a chair.] Oh, uh--it's a book from Professor Valvatorez.

[Not suspicious or anything, right.]

Is it about sardines or vampires~!?

[Toki takes the chair closest to Yuya.]

It looks pretty old, so maybe not sardines...

It's about daemons. [So, neither.] I'm borrowing it.

For any kid, stickers are the absolute best and it doesn't even matter what's printed on it so long as it's fun and bright and colorful. ]

[First, Yuya peels off a sticker and proceeds to press the sticky end to Kano's chest. Showing support for Nana is important.] So you can help pass them out, or is this a personal project?

[ He will wear the sticker with pride and won't take it off for the rest of the month. Which is entirely possible because he never changes this jacket anyways. ]

It's both, it's both~ They'll get passed out, but it'll also help me out too!

[Ren is making the rounds to the staff with refreshments. He swings by Yuya, holding warm cider and speaking in Japanese]

[Nana's been keeping tabs on Yuya.

And she's worried. He didn't sleep well on the Spring Break trip. She's caught him dozing off a few times. Thus, she drops by the second floor common room... and comes up behind him. Nana peers over his shoulder, at the tome.

Daemons? Her brow furrows.

Then, she says:] Yu~ya.

[Yuya doesn't look up from starting duly at the book in his lap, like it'll put him to sleep right here.]

Hey Kano.

[He's... he's just really used to hearing his name in that tone from Kano. That obviously makes it Kano, now.]

let's be real this face is accurate

[Nana frowns down at him.]

That's it, you're officially too sleepy.

[The class was over and gave everyone their much needed freedom. As students poured out from the doorway, Puella turned back around and noticed that somebody was still left behind. Uh...he knew they could leave now right?]

[She glanced back at the door and considered just ignoring it. But at the same time he really should know. No one wants to stay around here longer than they have to.]

[She moved closer to see that he apparently have dozed off behind the book. Well, no wonder!]

Hey... [Puella lightly pokes Yuya in the shoulder.] It's time to go.

[Yuya's response to being poked is to pull the book over his head like some sort of shield to reality. No, five more minutes...]

[Wants to flail her arms at him, but he wouldn't be able to see it anyway. So what's the point?] C'mon, it'd be better to sleep elsewhere!

[Akechi had bailed as soon as he'd made his move, not wanting to draw attention by conspicuously being late for class the same day someone was acting strange. But he wasn't anticipating it still being in effect after school, much less without Yuya having done anything to get himself detained until he was back in control of himself. So when Yuya approaches, he doesn't think he needs to make an excuse to leave...]

Hmm...maybe for a while. I do have homework today, but I wouldn't mind stopping for something to eat first.

Great! [Yuya laces his fingers behind his head.] Maybe I can help you with your homework after to make up for it?

[Like Yuya is making the grades to be any help. But you know, it was the most obvious excuse.] What do you like to eat most?

Hmm...I've never had a study partner before. And...I try not to be picky, but I do have a weakness for seafood and sweets.

[Seiji has been dealing with his own...concerns as of late and for the most part has been a rather quiet, if attention person in his classes and around campus. The fact that he was approached by Yuya suddenly is a bit of a surprise, but he is a pleasant and amicable person as Seiji has seen so far.]

To Soleil? Are your classes over for the day? [Seiji only had two classes that morning and had been using the free time for research.]

Yes. [Unofficially, because Yuya has decided that they're done for today.] Are you free? It'll be my treat.

[It is rather sudden a request, but perhaps Yuya had not been able to find someone else to travel and he did not want to go alone. It would be rude to leave him in such a situation, and the distraction would be welcome.]

I would be honored to travel with you. Are we visiting any location in particular?

Oh? [Gongenzaka, go figure, is entirely oblivious to what's going on right now. He has no idea what kind of nonsense mental effects Yuuya is under.

And, also, they've sort of been taking pains to share a snack or something when they both have a spare period so-] Of course, though I, the man Gongenzaka, should wish to wait until I have my school things put away...

Because I wanted your answer now. [So he just hunted him down, it's fine. He's not even wearing his uniform right now even though he should be.]
