WHO: DRAMA CLUB!
WHAT: It's the first club meeting of the year! Let's meet and greet, and then talk about the fall play and our New York trip!
WHEN: January 19th
WHERE: Whatever theatre space there is. Probably Theatre Lenormand?
"Welcome to drama club!"
Michael wait until everyone is present and settled before spreading his hands, creating a few illusory flashes of colored light. Things like this are why a teacher with no actual theatre experience ended up in charge of this club. The meeting is happening in one of the school's rehearsal spaces, which is empty save for a circle of chairs. "For those of you who haven't met me, I'm Michael, your faculty adviser. Now, we're going to start things off with a little warm-up. Two truths and a lie! You - " Michael points to the student to his right. " - start. We'll go around the circle. Should be fun."
This is what you get for having a daemon as your faculty adviser. Icebreakers.
When that's over - entirely without said daemon participating, he is above this - Michael claps his hands together. "So! Some of you know this already, but this year, we've secured funding to take a club trip! We're going to New York City. Gonna see the sights, go to a few shows, all that stuff. This'll be after mid-terms, so don't worry about it right now. You should be focusing on your schoolwork, and responsible things like that. But seriously, who wants to see what? Oh, and you should pick out the play you want to do in the fall. I do have veto power on that, but I also don't really care."

[Nana was here early. For one, she's a veteran member of Theater Club and feels some ownership of it; for two, she wants everyone to have a GREAT TIME~. This means that Nana has decided baked goods are a must.
So early on, while everyone is getting settled, she stands behind a table. Hands clasped, eyes bright, and a smorgasbord of muffins for all to eat.]
Please, take one!
B. LET'S WATCH RERUNS
[A little later into the meeting -- maybe, technically, after it's done -- Nana has settled down in front of a television, with a bunch of pillows, blankets, and the rest. The television is playing one of last year's plays:
I Want to Be Your Canary, a little known play that some say was written by someone from the Outlands. It's just ended, with the tragic scene where Princess Cornelia just died. Nana is wiping a tear from her eye. She's watched this like a thousand times, though.]
Ah, that one was so good...

[Nana sniffs, but she smiles happily, and clutches her clipboard with all of her notes against her chest.]
It was really touching. But sad. And everyone did it so well, too!

[Yuya tilts his head, considering.] But maybe we can put on a play with a happier end this time?
no subject
Then she looks at him, blinking.] Well... I mean... it would be nice to do it again...
...but I'm not sure they'll let us... and Kano-san did write a fun script. And... something with a happier ending... it might be nice.
But... I did really like it.

MUFFINS
How about.... two?
[ Don't do it, Nana. Maple is famous in the theater club for being a little shit - actually, the entire school, but theater puts up with her the most. ]

[Nana smiles... and slides one over. Her will is iron! Or, at least, somewhat metal-like.]
no subject
What if I trade you for another? [ She slides over.... a muffin.
Except it's made out of crystal. Look at it! It is so fancy! ]
no subject
But... wouldn't a muffin made of crystal be worth a lot more than a regular muffin?
no subject
I don't think I can eat more than that though.
no subject
Do you have the crystal muffin on you?

Someone sold us the script, and... well... it was really good!

[Nana shakes her head.] But it's a really nice play, either way.

[She points at the screen.] My part is coming up. I was the chancellor.

You're very talented, Daiba-san.

[Nana sighs, fondly.]
Unfortunately, a couple of them have left the school. So... we'll need to find another play.

B - and I have a Kuja account squirreled away
So does the school keep recordings of all the performances here?
[The camerawork is too nice for a guest holding a camcorder or phone]
ngl I considered Beatrix as a teacher but I'm not sure
[She realizes as she says it that there was probably a different one.]
I've watched a lot of them.
