Who: Adelaide & You!
When: Late August
Where: Aube, various spots around campus.
What: Some culinary experimentation, free food, and...practice.
Warnings: There shouldn’t be any!
aube;
Oh, no.
[Adelaide is good at cooking - and especially good at baking. However, she’s still young. She can’t possibly know everything yet. And after getting two requests - well, okay, one was a request and the other one was just an offhand mention - she’s decided to expand her repertoire.
Which! Was going well! And then it wasn’t, because she panicked and tried to overcorrect and now there’s a sticky white mass on the counter. It’s stuck to her hands, too, and there’s even some in her hair.]
Shit.
outside aube;
[Adelaide doesn’t have a sign the way Nana does, but she does have free food. This month it seems she’s gotten a hankering for pies, as the table is covered in them. Large pies, small pies, other kinds of filled pastries. There’s even a selection of what seems to be handmade marshmallows, as well as baklava and, of course, cookies.
She’s been busy and she might have had a disaster or two, but there’s still free food.
There’s also a sign stuck to the front of the table, saying that she takes requests! There’s even a smiley face drawn on it.]
furry friends;
[You know what they say - practice makes perfect. Adelaide’s basically perfected being a bat, but that means there’s still more she can learn about being a cat. So, it’s entirely possible to see a fluffy black cat in various spots on campus - sometimes in places it seems like a cat shouldn’t be.
Or you might run into something considerably larger and more dangerous than a cat. The wolf seems shockingly docile, though, simply staring out at people and wagging its tail.]
wildcard;

Adelaide~! What's the green stuff?
[He holds up a börek.]

[The answer is immediate, Adelaide brightening as soon as she sees Toki. She casts Marcel a glance, before turning her attention to Toki.]
It seemed like the traditional choice, and I've never made it before so...better safe than sorry!
no subject
[He's not sure if that sounds good or not. It at least smells good, so he'll try it. It's surprisingly delicious, like a compact quiche of some sort with extra flaky crust.]
This is great, Adelaide~! You should do this more often! You have more variety than Nana!

...You actually made them.
[As before, he looks faintly, genuinely taken off-guard. He blinks, and the corner of his mouth quirks up a bit.]
And baklava, too?
no subject
[She laughs sheepishly, before holding one out to him to take.]
The baklava were just a fun bonus. I've always wanted to make it, so I figured I might as well.
no subject
[It's like he's laughing almost in spite of himself, but it really warms his face. His eyes are still crinkled with it as he takes the offered börek and has a bite.]
Mmmhm. [He politely turns away and covers his mouth as he swallows before smiling at her.] You should charge. People stake their whole living making these for tourists in Turkey.

Like, really loves them.
When she exits the dorm, wherever she was headed and whatever she had initially been planning to do is put on hold the moment she spots the table. She approaches with some haste, though not enough that she's actually running over or anything.]
Ooh! What do you have here?
no subject
Lots of things! Pie - cherry, apple, blueberry, and vinegar - plus a bunch of different cookies and then baklava and...uh...
[She pauses.]
I'm not sure how to pronounce it, but it's parsley and cheese!
no subject
She's also totally unsure if it's okay to just take something, which honestly is the much bigger question on her mind.]
Do you require anything in exchange, or is it okay to ah...just pick one?

FURRY FRIENDS
This kid.
Reira is just looking at something large, fluffy, and probably smart, and slowly trotting determinedly over with almost giddy anticipation buried Deep Inside.]
...C....
...Do you like pets..?
[please she needs to touch the fluff,]
no subject
She lowers herself down to the ground, before rolling over onto her back. It's...a little weird, being pet, but! She feels bad duping people!]
no subject
And right now Reira's absolutely super excited! She thought she was going to just get to pet wolf's head...BUT BELLY RUBS???
All of the belly rubs then!!!]

PASTRY TIME
Some things just can't be ignored. And that thing is the smell of something sweet, and freshly made. Gongenzaka follows his nose over to the outside of Aube, but finds himself rather surprised. Are those...] Auh...
Did you...make these yourself?
no subject
[She beams down at him, leaning against her table.]
I've got a lot of free time, with it being summer vacation.
no subject
Is it difficult, to make marshmallows..? I know there is, sugar involved..?
[He does not know.]

But why would he when humans always came up with new and interesting dishes all the time? And the Troupe Master certainly still had a taste for his favorite foods from when he was human.
So when he smells the pies and other assorted baked goods that Adelaide has on her table, it is very easy to tempt him over.]
My, these smell delicious. Did you make them yourself, my friend?
no subject
Yes! Everything here was handmade by me. Even the marshmallows, and that was kind of a pain.
no subject
[He can remember someone in his family attempting it once - his grandmother, perhaps. It did not work out but Grimm can recall being fascinated by the process. It wasn't easy, baking things from scratch.]
May I try some?

I'm sure there's nothing going on besides a culinary mishap, but boy, do you look guilty.
