WHO: Toki, Adelaide, Nekane, Tsunade, + open
WHERE: various locations
WHEN: June (dates are arbitrary)
WHAT: friend date, conspiracy theories, therapy, shopping, confusion, Unchained/Rampage Plot (prompt 6)
WARNINGS: ***suicide attempt in prompt 6***, mental illness discussion, potential RNG seizure visions
CLOSED PROMPTS:
1; {Adelaide} - June 2nd, Aube 403
[Toki should have prearranged this, perhaps, but spur of the moment has always been more his speed. He carries a large basket, covered with a cloth, as well as a small cooler. He sets them down in the hallway outside Aube 403. It's late afternoon; it wouldn't do to take a vampire out during the middle of the day. Hopefully Adelaide has no plans for the evening; at least it's the weekend and she shouldn't have a class. He knocks on the door loudly.]
Adelaide~!
2; {Nekane} - June 4th, Nekane's office
[Toki has gathered all of his vision records. Three notebooks that were kept for the sole purpose of vision documentation, two notebooks generally used for classes that have vision notes interspersed throughout, printouts of old text files and sent messages, and a folder of printed photographs documenting other places he's written or drawn vision related information. There may some things missing that he'd completely forgotten about, but it's a thorough, if somewhat incomprehensible, record. As per faculty suggestion, he's come to Nekane's office to discuss his apparent misinterpretations and "conspiracies". He hesitantly knocks on the office door with no enthusiasm.]
3; {Tsunade} - June 17th, Tsunade's office
Also open to Ekkehardt, Hieke, and Lin, as any staff members who received this information are welcome to run with it for a wildcard option.
[As recommended by the faculty, Toki's mandatory therapy component of his disciplinary action verdict has been outsourced. The therapists on staff at the academy found themselves ill-equipped to provide sufficient care to the extent that was needed. Toki has been seeing a psychologist (Dr. Louise Katzenberg) and a psychiatrist (Dr. Etienne LeBlanc) at the hospital in Soleil. Sessions have been long and numerous, and he experienced several breakdowns while in their offices; something which did not work in his favor, and he has been kept at the hospital overnight on more than one occasion. After a thorough review of past behavioral accounts provided, and personal interactions and observations, a tentative diagnosis of several co-morbid illnesses has been recorded, and recommendations made in accordance. This information is now being shared with the academy therapists, counselors, and medical staff.
The doctors have made their diagnoses as follows:
paranoid schizophrenia
panic disorder
dissociative identity disorder spectrum
acute episodes of psychosis and mania
They believe Toki is a danger to himself and others in no uncertain terms. They feel his poor decisions and life choices stem from consistent incorrect perceptions of persecution and suspicion, that his impulsiveness and pressured speech are manifestations of a constant internal state of panic and anxiety. Though he has shown no distinct separate personality, they suggest it is only inevitable with his level of dissociation from reality and should be dealt with before there is a complete break in his psyche. They have noted repeated instances of brief psychosis and manic displays, and believe these can be significantly curbed with correct medications and continued psychotherapy. Behavioral correction is discussed as a future treatment should he make sufficient improvement.
Seven medications have been listed and prescribed. Six from the categories of anti-psychotics, sedatives, and mood stabilizers; the combination of which has been determined to have the least potential for negative interaction with each other. The seventh is an anti-convulsive for frequent seizure activity. Further recommendations include: the use of physical restraints and/or tranquilizers during any periods of acute psychosis and mania in which there is concern for safety, as well as consideration of a wheelchair should seizures remain uncontrolled with medication. Medications are to be left in the academy infirmary, as the doctors feel Toki is not capable of keeping a schedule, nor do they think he will comply if given any choice in the matter. There is a note beside this section in the report which states the academy should pursue legal action to declare Toki incompetent and thus restrict any medical and legal say he may have in the future. They have contacted his parents, who were unaware of his presence at the school, and were adamant that they were not his guardians and it was not their problem.
Toki was allowed to see the report, and he disagreed with the majority of it; absolutely livid by the time he finished reading it, even though he didn't completely understand everything. It resulted in screaming and accusations, which the doctors used as an example of paranoia and made a note of his reaction in an addendum, along with a statement that there is a place for him in the psychiatric wing of the hospital should the academy choose to leave his treatment solely to them.
Now, Toki's back at the academy after the report has been distributed. He waits impatiently in the comfortable chair in Tsunade's office while she reads through it all. It's taking all of his concentration not to scream.]

5; Quad - June 24th
[Around mid-day, Toki wanders the courtyard in the quad. He doesn't know where he's going, and only has a vague sense of where he came from. His jeans are covered in dirt and grass stains. His bare feet are also dirty, and bleeding in some places. He has no shirt on; his collarbones and ribs very prominent and his skin pale enough to be somewhat translucent in places. He's covered in scratches, some small and some longer; most are shallow, but a few bleed. Down the sides of both arms and across his abdomen are sloppy drawings in black marker; all of them either eyes by themselves or the Herald's face with vague and incomplete expressions. The occasional "It's watching!" or "They're coming!" is scrawled in Japanese along side the images. Dirt is caked under his fingernails and a couple of them are jagged and torn. He waves and smiles at anyone who passes by. There is nothing wrong here.]
6; Legionnaire Quarters - Pool - June 30th
***cw: suicide (unchained plot)***
[He's not allowed to swim, and he's never had the desire to do so here, but for some reason Toki enters the Legionnaire Quarters today and heads directly for the pool. He's completely dressed, did not bring a bathing suit, and has no intention of using the pool for recreation. He has another purpose. Today, it all became too much for him and he snapped; not a breakdown so much as an epiphany; a euphoria achieved once he made this decision. Escape. An end to it all. No more suffering.
He says nothing to anyone on his way through the building. He doesn't wave or smile at people around; doesn't seem to notice them. They don't matter. Nothing matters but this. Entering the room housing the Olympic sized swimming pool, Toki continues to take no notice of anyone in the vicinity. He strides directly the pool and jumps in. Expelling all the air in his lungs, he sinks to the bottom to sit there, almost peacefully. There's no conscious hesitation as he inhales the water, only the body's physical reaction of trying to save itself from death; choking and gasping and only bringing in more water. His lungs burn and then he feels nothing.]

Or at least that was the plan.
She blinks at Toki after opening the door, taking a moment to look over everything he has with him.]

[A nice walk towards Soleil and the clearing where they watched the stars.]
If you're not busy!

[She hasn't left her room at all today. She looks back towards the window, and it does seem like it's nice outside.]
And I'm not busy at all! All I've been doing is reading, but it's about time for a break.
[She opens the door wider, taking a step back.]
Just let me grab my phone and then we can head off, okay?

[He retrieves his basket and cooler and waits for Adelaide to get her phone before heading towards the elevator.]
I didn't know exactly what things you liked, so I have a variety~!

She raises an eyebrow at him, keeping in step with him as they make their way down the hall.]

When he's not in his room, he makes himself scarce, practicing this or that but with little to no mention of purpose even to the staff. It doesn't matter; he can do what he wants, as long as he's within view of a staff member or one of the guards at all times, slow and clear movements that mean nothing when one's an illusionist. Today, he takes on a different form than usual, borrowed from an old friend he had back at the orphanage, an androgynous looking girl and his first crush. Essentially, the original Tsubomi, the most different person he can think of to his "usual" self, quiet and calm and a little bit rough. There's no way Toki would suspect, they're nothing similar, except for the preference for hoodies.
Anyways!! Another mistake the staff makes is not forbidding contact between him and Toki, and so he ignores better judgement and walks up to Toki, giving him a dead eyed stare. ]
...Do you need clothes?
[ WTF ARE YOU DOING TOKI!!! kano screams inside but he's not allowed to voice that and give himself away ]
no subject
No~!
[He smiles at Kano, it's a little lopsided.]
You're really pretty~!
no subject
Wh-what are you talking about?! [ It takes everything to keep from channeling his inner Kido and roundhouse kick Toki in the face. Maybe being this girl was a bad idea already, but Kano is never not full of bad ideas and he lets out a huff, pulling Kido's jacket over her head and throwing it unceremoniously over Toki's. ]
Wear that. Even though it's warmer out, you can still catch a cold, walking around like that.
no subject
[Did he completely forget this girl? This jacket is absolutely not going to fit him, so he just kind of drapes it over his shoulders.]

So it isn't long after Toki plunges himself in the pool that Yuya's rushing over and dives in after him. He grabs for his arm, shirt, whatever he can get ahold of and tries to pull his body up.]

Which is absolutely why she's blaming herself and not looking in the best of spirits compared to how she normally does. And probably why Tonton is looking between her and Toki at a loss of which one of them it's better to go to.
Once she's done reading she's quietly setting the folder down and placing her hands folded on her desk to finally address him.]
I'm going to have to disagree with them on a good chunk of this, while they may have more medical experience than I do, those last two diagnoses in particular I don't agree with. [At least her voice is calm, which is something to make her seem calmer than she really is.]
And I certainly wouldn't recommend anything else they have here, though I, unfortunately, can't remotely touch the medication side of things. I take it they didn't take kindly to your not agreeing with them?
no subject
Really!? Because that's like... it's just so much and they kept asking me so many questions and like reading into things and wouldn't let me explain!
[He chooses to ignore the fact that she didn't say she disagreed with all of it, which Toki most certainly does. At least it's something.]
I can refuse to take things, though, right!? Like they're got going to make me if I say no!?
[The last question makes him scream in frustration though.]
They didn't even listen to me! But I'm right! You just said so! This is just totally wrong! They can't know anything from second-hand accounts and stupid questions!
no subject
Unfortunately, with the records right here, if you don't take them then it's only going to make things more difficult on you. I'll do what I can, I can talk to them and point out that in our sessions there's absolutely no reason to be taking some of the medications they're prescribing here. They'll listen to me more than they will you, which is unfortunate, but that's how it tends to work with these types. [She... sounds like she has some actual experience with this, even if she's not spelling it out in the slightest.
Tonton is taking this chance to try and wriggle her way up into Toki's lap, because of course she is.]
It's not totally wrong, is the problem. I do agree with them on the paranoid schizophrenia and panic disorders in particular, because I've absolutely seen the latter one here before. But I don't think treating you like a one mold fits all is going to help you in the slightest, especially when they aren't seeming to take into account the whole seer thing. But, Toki, I need for you to not argue with them for now, anything you disagree with, let me know. You're only going to dig yourself a hole into a worse place if you don't and I do not want you to end up there.
no subject
You'll talk to them, though?
[It's a little bit of hope to hold onto, and he will take it. Tonton arrives and Toki lets her sit on him. She's so cute. Unfortunately, petting Tonton does not distract him enough from the rest of Tsunade's speech. She agrees with them. Tonton gets squeezed a little too tightly. Toki bites his tongue until it bleeds, but he can't scream and yell at Tsunade or he'll make it worse.
After a minute of silently seething, he goes back to petting the pig gently and looking anywhere but at Tsunade.]

Even as she paces the area, lost in her thoughts until she's seeing another strange sight. Toki.
Goddammit, kid.
She's letting out a small irritated sigh and just going to casually make her way in front of him and have Stone Free appear to place a hand against his forehead to stop him.]
The fuck?
no subject
What?
[He's asking Jolyne, but he's not looking at her; focused instead on Stone Free.]
no subject
The fuck did you do to yourself? You look like absolute shit and kinda like you lost your shit a little bit. Kinda concerning, not gonna lie here. [When you're concerning her, you know you've done fucked up.]
I can't read most of it, but I'm pretty sure that shit's Japanese? [How.]
no subject
Sometimes I don't have a notebook with me!
[When he isn't carrying his bag or not in his room. He points to a scribbled message in between the eye drawings and smiles, a little bit of laughter slipping out.]
That says "it's watching"! Because it is! All the time! Now! Like right now it is! Or they are! There might be more than one, like a legion of butterfly daemons!

To be frank, they look terrible and are severely lacking sleep. But if it's a job to do, Nekane said they would do it.]
Toki, yeah?
no subject
Yes! But Professor Nekane, you look absolutely awful~! We can do this another day~! It's nothing pressing after all! You should get some sleep~! I'll just come back like next week, okay~!?
no subject
Just call me Nekane. The Professor shit is weird. And I always look like this. Don't sleep.
[The dark circles under their eyes gives it away anyway so unless they're joking about it, their lack of sleep is one of the few things Nekane doesn't lie about.
They turn to go back inside, motioning Toki to follow them. He's not getting out of this so easily. Seer knowledge is useful even if pretty much all of it was based around symbolism.]
How far back do your recordings go?
no subject
Well, the written ones go back to like late March, but I had some notes on text files on my phone before then, only I destroyed that phone, so I had like most of them in online storage, but not all of them and I decided that maybe they shouldn't be like uploaded anyway, and Yuya, my roommate, gave me a notebook, so I've been putting them in there and sometimes I write on other things and I've taken some pictures and printed them out so you can see those too, but it's really not like "conspiracy theories" or whatever has been thrown around for terms because these are premonitions obviously and I think it's ridiculous that a school run by Seers has faculty that don't trust students who are Seers!
